Who's Ready for School?

It is hard to believe but school is just around the corner!  I am excited for our new year and thought I'd tell you a little about me and my family and what I've been up to for the summer! You can found out more about me by visiting the All About Me tab at the top of the page.

To start off with, I have lived in Omaha for 1 year now with my family.  I have a husband, three sons and a dog.  My oldest son is Ben and he is in the Army.  Next comes Dakota who is in high school and Coltin who is in middle school.  Our dog, Jordan, is old and lazy.  We like living in Omaha although this summer I think it has been as hot as Arizona!

The highlight of my summer was that my son Ben, who is a soldier in Afghanistan, was able to come home for two weeks of leave.  We were so happy to see him!  I got to cook all of his favorite treats which he loved!
My family also got to travel to Washington, D.C., a place that I have always wanted to visit.  We saw a LOT of really neat things and visited a lot of museums, memorials and historical sites. I wish that we could have stayed longer.
